Hey gang I just spoke to Dave Montaro who was the assistance coach of the Mad Hatters. He is coaching the RI Storm of the NEPHL. He has a bunch of the old Mad Hatters, Obe Kent ect. ,and they are playing in Brooklyn the next 3 Friday nights against a bunch of the old Aces. It looks like this is as close as we are going to get to hockey this season.

I have been asked to assist Phil Esposito and Tom Westfall put a NEPHL team in East Haven.Well it looks like it is going to happen. Greeting from Glens Falls after a 3-2 loss by the Phantoms over the Worcester Sharks in front of a sold out crowd at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The arena was very very quiet...too quiet. There will be no hockey in Danbury this season, look at it as a savior from above and hope for next season, I will suggest to all of you who want hockey back in the DIA to find investors and have them contact the league, if anyone needs my help I will get them in touch with the right people.

Rumor has it that the "Unnamed Danbury Business Group" is soliciting some names for the new hockey team, what might you guys suggest? I expect they will be reading this board.

My guess is they have been holding back on any official announcements until such time as they can deliver on all the things nessisary to be credible and to avoid repeating the same dumb-ass-ed mistakes of previous teams.
